This wedding took 3 weeks of planning, 9 unsuspecting family members, a nice cozy Airbnb house, and a beautiful, gloomy desert landscape backdropped with Mt. San Jacinto in Palm Springs, California.
On the wedding day, family members were welcomed by glasses of champagne at the Airbnb and were handed an invitation that says “Surprise! Andrew and Brie are getting married!”. It was an unforgettable moment. The tears, shock, and excitement in everyone’s faces were priceless. It was very intimate, sweet, and cozy. The wedding was decorated with neutral-toned floral accents courtesy of Aly Armstrong. A private chef cooked sumptuous meals and family members made touching impromptu speeches while having dinner at the patio, wrapped up with a drizzle that perfectly set the intimate mood of the wedding.
This wedding was definitely a first for me. I think a surprise wedding is a brilliant idea. It does not take that much planning compared to big weddings, if you think about it. The element of surprise makes it unique and extra special. The family members were flabbergasted and the wedding will definitely be a memory of a lifetime.
